Hello Friends!
I hope this finds you all well. I apologize for not posting in awhile but the recent comic con season and our family move across country has been quite overwhelming and put me behind on a lot of work. But I’m working hard to catch up and wanted to update you on where we are.
First off some great news- PUNK TACO Volume 1 juts won a very prestigious RINGO Award for “Best Kids Comic or Graphic Novel”! I am still in shock and a bit overwhelmed by it all. The award ceremony took place this past weekend at the Baltimore Comic Con and I was able to share the experience with Makana so that made it extra special.

There are so many people to thank, I fear I will miss someone, but first of all I couldn’t have done this without the inspiration from my son, Makana and his little brother as well as my wife and family. My PUNK TACO team of Gabriel Mayorga, Lea Jean Badellas, Mike Rockwitz and Roy Opochinski are the best. To all the friends, fans and supporters who helped get us nominated and all the professionals that voted for us- THANK YOU!

Baltimore Comic Con is a great show for comic book artists and I can’t thank the organizers of the con and the organizers of the Ringos enough for having us and making us feel so welcomed.

This is the second award PUNK TACO won this year, the first being “Best Sci-Fi or fantasy” for the KIDS COMIC AWARDS at the Ann Arbor Comic Arts Festival, another great honor and event that we hope to attend again in the future.
Finally- PUNK TACO Volume 2 is coming. I am inking and coloring the pages at the same time and everyday we get closer. It is more tan double the size of Volume 1 and even weirder. I will start posting new art soon.
